The remote control receptor on my TV doesn't work - how do I change settings ?

is it a universal remote control? if so it could be that the remote programing for that exact TV was changed to a dif. code, and its not transmitting the right signal. try to reprogram the remote, if not try buying another universal remote and program it for your TV, if it still doesn't work you can always return the remote and get your money back. save the receipt. and if none of that works, you should just buy a new TV. you said it was only worth $100, so it's probably had it's life. TVs dont last forever.
