Stage fright/ antics?

I'm in a band and i've come to realize that i am host to a certian amount of stage fright which inhibits me from really letting lose. I've noticed, in slipknot for instnce, that when people wear mask's, it helps. I've played with the idea- it helps, but the other members don't like it. Any advice for me on what i can do-asthetically or otherwise?
