i just had a listen to your engine noise and if i were you i would hve a look at the engine drive belts(fan belts) it sounds as though a belt is rubbing against something plastic eg.cold air intake, fan shroud ,engine covers.check belt tensions and if possible look for wear marks on belts and surrounding parts,it maybe that your timing belt has been changed and the cam belt covers have not been refitted correctlyand the belt is rubbing inside the covers.i recommend you find the cause of this noise before driving your car as it may result in an expensive repair,if it is your timing belt rubbing and it fails while driving it may cause the valves to hit the top of the pistons causeing a hugh amount of damageand several thousands in repairs.if you tackle this job your self get a workshop manuel from a parts retail outlet to ist you as timing is very important and you must get it correct.i think your noise while turning the steering will be the suspension bushes groaning as they get loaded while turning without movingputs more load on them. i dont think this is a problem as most cars do it,if the bushes have been upgrded to nylothane bushes the noise will be louder but perfomance will be improved good luck

Trying to find how to find value of famous intaglio printing plate, please help.?

I own a old intaglio printing plate. This on is on what I believe to be zinc, as I have read they are likely done on zinc or copper, this is silver in color. The plate on mounted on a wooden backing that would likely fit into the press. It is old. Not sure of actual age. Looking at reproduction print this has every detail engraved, down to blades of gr. It is a engraving of "American Homestead In Spring" etched under picture. "Published by Currier and Ives" etched under picture."152 Nau St. New York" etched under picture.And in fine print, best I can read with a magnifying gl "Entered according to Act of Congress AD 1869, by Currier & Ives, In the District Court of the United States, for the Southern District New York". 2002 Ford Escape running rough when it rains?

My 2002 Ford Escape (162,000 miles) was running terribly, and after taking it for 2 diagnostics, my dad changed all 3 catalytic converters, along with the O2 sensors about a month ago. It ran great after that. Went to leave yesterday, and it sounded terrible again-it had been raining profusely and I park under a carport-the concrete was wet, but dry under my car. We started it today, and it sounded fine. Could this be a very weird evaporation issue, where the spark plugs (or something) are getting wet? I like my car, help! Thanks

My sisters son has untreated ADHD and is home schooled by her. The officers left and shortly afterward so did the CPS worker. My sister was told by her that she and her son were adorable and when she stated to the worker that she is not trying to hurt her son she is trying to help him the worker smiled and said that she understood. However my sister was left with instructions to contact another social worker. This was about 3 wks ago. They have played phone tag since and last week the social worker left a message that she received another referral & she wants to schedule an appointment to come to the home and speak with her and her son. My sister is afraid if they test her urine they will find her positive for the marijuana and may remove her son from her custody. Can they do this? Why wasn't the initial visit by the CPS worker sufficient to close this case? Apparently they were not concerned as the boy was not taken into custody? What should/can she do? What should I do with my family?

I'm at a loss with how to fix the problem with my family. As for my mother, she is too trusting with bad people. Tips on getting a second cat? First cat is "special needs"...?

My kitten is about almost 11 months old. He's all by himself while I'm at work and I was thinking he may want a companion. The problem is he is a "CH" cat (cerebellar hypoplasia)...so, he is able to use a litter box and what not, but he falls down a lot and cannot jump the way a "normal" cat does. He is also deaf...or really good at ignoring ALL noises. Being a CH cat, he uses his claws a LOT! He uses them to climb up on the couch, since he can't jump, and digs them into the carpet to help maintain his blanace. His dependency on his claws and his love of attacking me (grabbing my arm with his claws and biting and scratching at the same time) has left me with unsightly scratches (my vet taught me how to "discipline him, doesn't work- also I guess I could just not pet him, but he's too cute). Is he just playing, or is he really aggressive? Does he sound too mean for another cat? What are tips on introducing cats to eachother? Would a "normal" cat harm a disabled cat? Thanks!

Part of leg hurts with b petal.?

The only thing that helped me was exercising that leg until the foot and ankle became accustomed to the weird motion of playing the pedal. For a few weeks, I would take a piece of 2x4 wood and put it on the ground. I'd balance on it with the front half of my right foot, then lower the heel almost to the ground and then stand back on the front half again. I'd do that maybe 20 times in a row a couple times a day. It's the most tedious exercise in the world, but it actually helped me. And now I've got a lot more foot stamina when I'm drumming. Hope this helps! Good luck!

Last year at our states horse expo/Equifest we had Craig Cameron do a demo speech on them. He discussed how horses get caught in fences and struggle to get out causing them to get tangled and wounded worse than before. When they are trained for hobbles they automatically go into the mode of "It's just hobbles, I need to stand here and I will be fine". I realized then that it was so true. My horses have been tangled up before and it would have came in handy. It also would help if your horse took off by accident and got caught in anything such as a lead rope or reins. This could cause a broken leg if the horse isn't hobble trained. I believe it would be great for anyone on a trail ride as well. Wrist pain? (occasionally very severe)?

No broken bones. I got x-rays. It's been happening for about 4 years...that I can remember anyway. I play flute but I don't play hours and hours and I'm holding it correctly. I do fencing but I just started last year I use to do field hockey. Sometimes cracking it makes it feel better. But it hurts in different spots. Sometimes it hurts in the bones in diff. places and other times the tendons hurt. It usually doesn't get too bad. Except one time I was writing and it began hurting so badly that I couldn't continue. That was about 6 months to a year ago. And I am not able to play volleyball. The way you're suppose to hit it hurts soo much for my wrists. And it continued hurting for a while. But then it stopped. Then later that day, at least 5 hours later, when the pain was still gone I tried pushing down clothes in the hamper and the wrist pain hurt again. A lot. But normally it's just an annoyance.

Care/feeding for a tiger salamander?

While cleaning my sons' room, I discovered that they had smuggled a tiger salamander they had caught in our back yard into the house and hid it in a dresser drawer. LAST WEEK. So, now we have a salamander. They found it on a rainy day, and now it's all hot and nasty and the ground is packed solid, so I don't know whether the poor thing will survive the heat long enough to burrow. Help????

Most of my friends and me included think that Eastern European are so attractive. I don't know whether it is the voice or just how beautiful they are in person, but they are amazing. My mom thinks that I do because of some discharge in my underwear. I'm 13 and I don't have my period yet. She thinks that I do, and so she bought me Monistat 3. UTI Question?

I have had at least 6-7 UTI's so far this year. I feel like I have a super mild one right now. The last few I've had were like this as well. My last one, I drank water like it was my job, and took cranberry pills, and went to the doctor. According to her, I flushed it out because there was no sign of infection in my urine sample. Can I just do that again? I guess if it gets worse, I'll go to the Doctor, but I don't feel like it is urgent at all. I actually feel normal today. I know that untreated it can move to your kidney, but I think If I keep going with the water, I will eventually flush it out. Also, I hear that UTI like symptoms occur occasionally with Birth Control. Anyone else hear that?

My wife is 10 weeks pregnant (unplanned), and has just been EXPLODING at me for days about how it's all my fault! 10 years after the fact I had mine reversed and had a beautiful baby boy . It does not always work for everyone though. Also you have to be very aware that you run a much higher risk of tubal pregnancies. I am one that heard what the doctor said but refused to listen . To me it means what it is, because I know about Sylvia Plath's life and work. Maybe if I did not know the facts, it would still mean the same, who knows... Comic book publishing???

i have been writing books since i was in fifth grade and have now gotten to read maus and ive decided that i'll try out comic book, or graphic novel, writing. im not very good at drawing, but i've decided that it would be very cool to set the story i have planned to a sort of henry darger-esque background. like, for instance, i could draw and paint the way he did, which was mainly by tracing and the result is really weird and cool (if anyone doesn't know who he was, the guy was nuts and wrote like a 15,000 page book that he never got published). the graphic novel's going to be about a guy in an asylum searching for the ideal man, much like in Nietzsche's Thus Spoke Zarathustra, and it is full of surrealism and strange fantasy elements about it and it also has a lot of zen buddhists themes processed through a sort of Celtic aesthetic - i think its really cool. i was wondering if someone could refer me to a publisher/lit agency who would be willing to publish this type of graphic novel?

The base that you will want to use is the conjugate base of ammonium, which is the acid in this case. The conjugate base of ammonium is ammonia, NH3. So the NH3Cl / NH3 buffer is the best choice (and you would need about 1.8 times as much ammonium chloride as ammonia to acheive pH=9).
